Each package pairs Moodhu Bulhaa’s dive experiences with time for Vilimalé. Stay on the island or use a Malé or Hulhumalé base. We tailor the final plan to your group and conditions.
3 nights / first-time divers
Your first underwater chapter: a guided shore-based Discover Scuba Diving experience, easy reef time, and a quieter afternoon discovering Vilimalé.
Best for: curious beginners aged 10+.
5 nights / certified divers
House reef dives and a shared two-tank boat day when a departure is available, balanced with reef conservation stories and slow island evenings.
Best for: certified divers who want depth and local connection.
7 nights / learn to dive
Make Vilimalé your base for Moodhu Bulhaa’s PADI Open Water course, then spend your remaining days exploring the island and its marine world.
Best for: travellers ready to earn a first scuba certification.

Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory experience, not a scuba certification. The dive centre’s listed minimum age is 10.

For certified divers who want a varied trip with a sense of place.
Settle in and review your dive history, equipment needs and plan with the dive centre.
Ease into the water with a guided shore dive; choose a second dive if appropriate.
Two different dive sites on a shared two-tank boat trip when the operator’s departure minimum is met.
Choose another house reef dive or a night dive when suitable; spend the afternoon with Vilimalé’s cafés and shoreline.
Keep the day free of diving for a guided island walk, a conversation about Save the Beach’s reef work, Maldivian tea and a gentle sunset.
Breakfast and transfer, with a suitable interval after your final dive as advised by the dive team.
The two-tank boat trip in the supplied rate sheet requires eight participants; the house reef night dive requires two. We will confirm a shared departure or quote a private boat separately.
03 / 7 nights
A longer stay built around learning properly, with time for the island itself.
Settle into your stay and meet the dive team to review course timing and learning materials.
Complete Moodhu Bulhaa’s PADI Open Water programme at the pace agreed with the instructor; the operator lists three to four days and eight dives.
Trade the classroom for a Vilimalé walk, local snacks and a conservation story when a guide is available.
Enjoy a relaxed free day or ask about a conservation-led coral nursery snorkel, subject to availability, your course progress and safe dive scheduling.
Breakfast and transfer, allowing a suitable interval after your last dive as advised by the instructor.
Course enrolment, medical screening, learning requirements and certification are subject to PADI standards and instructor assessment. The operator’s listing includes eLearning and certification.
Where you stay
We will confirm the best available room and the practical transfers for your travel dates.
An island base close to the dive centre, with sea views and a beachside promenade described on Vinorva’s website. Room type and availability are checked before quoting.
Stay in the capital and cross to Vilimalé for dive days. Samann Grand is one city option we can check; we will confirm the room and account for ferry timing in your itinerary.
A practical option for airport connections or extra nights. Family-operated h78 is one beachfront stay we can check, then plan the journey to the dive centre.
These are suggested accommodation options. We will confirm availability, rates, transfers and booking terms before including any stay in your quote.
What makes it different
Vilimalé’s conservation story is part of the journey. Local excursions such as Secret Paradise’s eco walking tour include island life, a conversation about Save the Beach’s work and traditional hedhika tea. We can explore adding a guided experience when it is operating and available for your dates.
For an even closer look, Secret Paradise also offers a marine conservation experience with a coral nursery snorkel or a dive for certified guests. Ask us to check that option, or Moodhu Bulhaa’s guided snorkelling, dolphin cruise and night fishing. Group minimums and sea conditions apply.
