Information we collect
When you send an enquiry through a form, email, WhatsApp or our travel concierge, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, number and ages of travellers, nationality, departure location, resort or villa preferences, budget, special requests and anything else you choose to share. If you proceed with a booking, we may also collect the details needed to arrange and support that booking.
When you visit the website, our hosting service and analytics tools may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed and approximate location.
How we use information
- Respond to enquiries, recommend travel options, prepare quotes and arrange bookings and transfers.
- Communicate with you before and during a trip and provide customer support.
- Send relevant offers and promotional messages by email or WhatsApp to people who have enquired with us. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to a message or emailing sales@exploremore.mv.
- Understand website use, improve the site and protect it from misuse.
- Maintain records where needed for business, accounting or legal purposes.
Who receives information
Our team handles enquiries. To prepare a quote or arrange a trip, relevant details may be shared with the resorts, transfer operators and other travel suppliers involved. We also use service providers for website hosting, online forms, email delivery and analytics. Our website email is sent through Zoho Mail.
If you choose a WhatsApp link, your conversation is handled through WhatsApp under its own privacy terms. Other websites linked from ours have their own privacy practices. Some suppliers and service providers may process information outside the Maldives.
Live AI travel chat
If you choose the live AI chat, we send your message and a short portion of the recent conversation from our website server to OpenAI so it can generate a reply. We may also send short excerpts and links from our published website pages to help answer the question. OpenAI processes this information as a service provider and may do so outside the Maldives. Please do not enter passport numbers, payment details or other sensitive information in the chat. Our team receives your contact details and travel request only when you choose to submit an enquiry.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to measure visits and understand how people use the site. Google Analytics may use cookies, including a _ga cookie, and receive information about your device, browser, activity on the site and approximate location. Google explains its practices in its Privacy Policy. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser and use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on where supported. The site may also use cookies needed for its basic operation and administration.
How long we keep information
We have not set a fixed retention period for unbooked enquiries. We keep information while it is needed to handle an enquiry, follow up, support a booking or meet business and legal requirements. If you would like us to delete an enquiry, contact us using the email address above. We will consider the request and explain if any information must be retained.
Your choices and requests
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, and object to promotional messages. Email sales@exploremore.mv. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some requests may be limited by applicable law or the need to keep booking and transaction records.
